Hello everyone & welcome to my blog!
Pull up a chair, take a load off & relax for a little while. I am a photographer based out of San Marcos Texas.
Photography has been a passion of mine since I was a child, when my father first handed down to me his Canon AE-1 SLR. Prior to that, I had been a sketch artist.
I put photography to the side & did music for a long time. I have now picked it up again & would like to help people save their precious memories.
Just got back from New Orleans. It was me, my wife, and her parents. We stayed at the Hilton Riverside. As usually, it was very nice. I didn't have much time to take photos as we were showing her parents around & spent quite a bit of time checking in on them at Harrah's casino.
It was pretty chilly & with the strong winds, which made it made it more cold. I really wasn't prepared for it. I didn't have a winter jacket, just a couple sweaters on.
It was more crowded than we expected. I thought that there would be fewer people there, since it was cold & off-season. There were just as many people there as there is in the Summer time.
I think that I would like to go there in the Spring time. It shouldn't be too cold nor too hot.
Here are a few images that I am sharing. I took my big Canon 5DIII with me with, a 50mm prime, my 24-105F4 & one 430EXII. I really wanted to take my smaller T2i but kind of wanted to test the 5D's low light capability. Kind of wish that I hadn't forgotten my tripod. I would have liked to have taken some longer exposures.

Oh well. Hopefully, there will be a next time.
I had the pleasure of taking the photos to be used for the THE GEORGES new album.
This is from their website: The Georges are a Rockabilly group from San Marcos, TX. See them live
and you will be taken aback by their classic sound, high energy performances and Dancin' Shufflin' beats.
They have a monthly standing where they play two or three Wednesdays a month at the legendary Gruene
Hall, and also haunt The Phoenix Saloon for some killer live Saturday night shows. They are also known
for their tight harmonies and killer retroid-cool visual image. Don't miss 'em throughout the Cen-Tex area
If you haven't had a chance to see them live, you're missing out! They put on a really great show.
